Most Infor Operations and Regulations (O&R) configuration work is still manual: compare two environments by eye, copy changes by hand, re-test formulas after every release, and keep the evidence in screenshots. The Orchestra is the toolkit we built to automate that work.
What it automates
- Environment comparisons: compares configuration areas between two environments row by row, with formula checks, then moves only the rows you pick and re-reads the target to confirm each one landed.
- Formula checks: checks formulas against the shipped release code and the multi-tenant cloud allow-list rules, release by release.
- Cloud readiness: inventories an on-premises configuration and sorts each item into runs as is, needs a change, or needs a rebuild in the cloud.
- Access reviews: answers who has access to what from the tenant's actual roles and rights.
How changes are made
Every change is a written plan. The plan is shown and approved before anything runs, every call is logged, each change is read back to confirm it landed, and the run stops at the first failure. Before-values are kept, so any change can be undone with a restore plan.
How it is tested
The Orchestra is covered by hundreds of automated tests and is used on client engagements to deliver workflows that end users rely on. Its changes cover agency variables, formula saves, Ad Hoc reports and configured REST endpoints, each one read back and restorable.
If you are planning a move to O&R cloud, the cloud migration guide lists what changes and how a readiness review works. The case studies show the situations this work is used for, and the Orchestra page has more detail on the toolkit itself.
