Use Cases & Outcomes

Common situations eClas solves.

Real scenarios from public sector IPS environments, not theoretical capabilities. Specifics redacted for client confidentiality.

These situations come up across Infor Operations and Regulations (O&R), formerly Infor Public Sector (IPS) and Hansen, whether the agency runs on-premises or in multi-tenant cloud. Below each is the approach taken and the outcome it is aimed at.

Permits & Licensing

Stuck Workflow Resolution

Identify and resolve application types stalled at wrong milestones, reducing manual intervention and rework across permit and licensing operations.

Approach

Read the application type's workflow as configured: milestones, status logic, review and inspection flows. Find where an exception is not handled or a status never advances, correct it, and document the fix so the same stall is recognized next time.

Outcome

Reduced manual workarounds; more reliable status visibility for staff.

Data Quality

Improved Capture & Validation

Improve detail pages and field logic so the data entering your system is accurate and reporting-ready from the start.

Approach

Rework custom detail pages and data grids so field behavior enforces consistent values at entry. Where legacy data is already inconsistent, plan the cleanup and validation as an import with checks, not as manual edits.

Outcome

Cleaner reports, fewer downstream corrections.

Integrations

Stabilizing Recurring Errors

Diagnose the root cause of failing imports and third-party integrations, then fix them in a way that holds long-term.

Approach

Trace each failure to its cause, coordinate with the third-party system, and rebuild the import or export automation for maintainability. For multi-tenant cloud, integrations are designed for the ION API Gateway with OAuth 2.0, configured REST endpoints, ION, and SFTP file interfaces.

Outcome

Stable nightly runs; alert noise materially reduced.

Cloud Readiness

On-Prem to Cloud Preparation

Prepare your IPS environment for cloud transition with a configuration review, gap assessment, and migration support.

Approach

Inventory the catalog, formulas, security, custom code and reports. Sort every item into runs as is, needs a mechanical change, gets rebuilt with a cloud feature, needs redesign, or is no longer needed. Check every formula against the cloud allow-list rules and write up the findings with effort estimates.

Outcome

Clear migration roadmap with prioritized remediation list.

How a readiness review works

Reporting

SSRS and Crystal Report Conversion

SSRS and Crystal reports do not run in multi-tenant cloud, and each one has to land somewhere before go-live.

Approach

Map every SSRS, Crystal and Ad Hoc report to a supported cloud report type, such as Ad Hoc, a Formula report, an IDM Word template, Infor Reporting or Birst, and size the rebuild. Ad Hoc rebuilds are generated as reviewable change plans instead of being re-keyed by hand.

Outcome

Every report has a supported cloud target and a sized rebuild.

Knowledge Transfer

Documentation & Repeatable Fixes

Replace tribal knowledge with structured documentation so your team can resolve common issues independently.

Approach

Each change is written as a plan, approved, carried out and read back. At the end your team receives a step list it can follow and a log of every change that was made, along with a support plan recommendation.

Outcome

Internal team handles tier-1 issues without escalation.

Configuration Health

Over-Customized Environments

Simplify configurations that have grown unwieldy over the years, reducing maintenance burden while preserving business functionality.

Approach

Compare environments row by row to see where configuration has drifted, move only the changes you approve, and re-read the target to confirm each row landed. Every change keeps its before-values, so it can be undone with a restore plan.

Outcome

Lower upgrade risk and faster change cycles.

How These Engagements Run

How each engagement is structured.

I.

Assess

A focused discovery conversation about your goals, current system state, pain points, and access approach.

II.

Execute

Hands-on technical work scoped into clear deliverables, with findings taken from what is actually configured in your environment.

III.

Stabilize

Testing, validation, documentation handoff, and a support plan recommendation.

Much of the reading, comparing and checking is automated with the Orchestra, so findings come from your configuration rather than a generic checklist. The full list of service areas and contract options is on the services page. Agencies planning a move to multi-tenant cloud can start with the Infor O&R cloud migration guide.
